Incorrect notifications / reminders make the app practically unusable

I have 13 notifications on the app icon, and nowhere near that many memorisations to repeat. I have memorisations with red notifications in the app which I do not need to repeat. It is impossible to track when to repeat memorisations as a consequence. Please fix! Thank you, and God bless you.

Update on this: the notification icon on the app icon stays after disabling notifications for a memorisation item. For a workaround, I have unselected the disable notifications option and set the next notification to be in 999 days time.
A small bug remains where the notification icon on the app icon remains until the app is closed (not backgrounded, but closed) and reopened.
