Speaking Bug

Speech-to-text is tricky, I understand, but the desktop app does a really poor job of this. And whenever I try to correct the text before submitting for correction, unless it's a very short text, there's a bug in the text window that after a few corrections makes everything go haywire. I would have to go back and type the whole thing over, and so I throw up my hands and submit the gobbledygook. This feature is better on the ios app, but it's no fun (and a lot slower) typing corrections into my phone. The text correction window not glitching out should be a basic feature. I also want to note that there haven't been any updates in a long time. Fix what needs fixing! Premium user here who otherwise loves the app.

Hi Lc, I fixed some bugs I saw. Could you try again and let me know if the web version is still broken for you? Also, life got in the way, but now I'm back :)

Craig Walker Thanks for the response, Craig. I appreciate what you're doing. I did try again with the speech-to-text and there are still some glitches but seems somewhat improved. I'm going to keep testing. I haven't tried on the "web version" but rather on the desktop app. I'd say it's getting closer to the ios app now in terms of functionality but still room for improvement. My general impression is that the problem affects longer texts (ones where the whole thing doesn't fit into a single text window) and has something to do with scrolling. If I correct something towards the end and then scroll back up I see that other (sometimes bizarre, or random, and unwanted) corrections have been made.
Update 6-29: I regret to say I have to go back on the above comment that this functionality is improved. I just it with a text of about 650 words (including some Shakespeare, so admittedly this adds difficulty), read the speech more or less perfectly and then attempted to correct the faulty transcriptions of which there were (understandably) plenty. After several attempts to correct it, though, I had to give up. I make one change in one part of the text and the app introduces a bunch of random(-ish) strings somewhere else. Correct those and earlier corrections are deleted. Rewrite those and it produces more gobbledygook elsewhere. Eventually I give up. I have to consider the desktop app broken in this respect. FYI I'm on a Macbook Pro running Sonoma.
